Acclaimed writer Don Kinch best known for his plays like The Balm Yard and Not Quite Gospel has brought together an international creative team for his new production In Search of My Father. Jamaican choreographer Dr L’Antoinette Stines, has created a flawless dance narrative to the rich and energetic music composed by MOBO award winning Soweto Kinch.  Seychellois director Cliff Moustache of Nordic Black Theatre managed to forge form and content into high powered ritual theatre.

In Search of My Father delves into the ancient past to shine a light in the face of the modern black woman through visceral theatre, enchanting dance and evocative music.

Marisol in a quest for self-discovery has given up her well-paid job to embark on a visit to Jamaica and to find the Jamaican man that will father a child.  On her journey she meets Sambhota, the former owner of a once thriving dance hall and Eugene Williams, MP and debonair landowner.
